What I'm looking for
I am a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and research leader with extensive academic and institutional leadership experience at the University of Cape Town and national research programmes. I lead teams focused on medical device design, verification, validation and translation for low-resource settings, and I hold the SARChI Chair in Biomedical Engineering & Innovation.
My career spans applied research, device development and multidisciplinary collaboration, evidenced by numerous peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations and edited works including a 2022 book on Medical Devices Innovation for Africa. I have received multiple national and international awards and recognition for innovation and emerging research impact.
