At Independent / Self-Employed, I maintained and hardened 10+ production Ubuntu/Debian servers supporting media and backend services. I investigated network drops, disk I/O bottlenecks, and application memory spikes, and operated Nginx reverse proxies for HLS/MPEG-DASH delivery.
I built a Python ingest service that published live-manifest segment events to Redis Pub/Sub, plus a concurrent Go daemon to prefetch segments to edge caches; the system reported a cache-hit ratio above 98%. I also architected and operated an independent audio-streaming service that grew to 100,000+ registered artists.
