I’m a full stack engineer based in South Africa with nearly five years of experience building software across property technology, advertising, healthcare reporting, and client services. My main stack includes Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Nuxt, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS, with experience in React, React Native, Docker, Celery, and Redis.
Currently, I’m the CTO and a hands-on engineer at Vortex Intelligence. My work spans understanding client needs, designing systems, developing applications, and deploying them to production. My projects include SALGA’s public website and Booket, an appointment-business platform with scheduling, client and staff management, inventory, reporting, and a consumer app. I also deployed Booket on AWS using Docker, ECR, ECS, load balancing, and Aurora.
Other highlights include developing medical reporting against a database containing more than 150,000 tables and contributing to the backend of DPSA’s Batho Pele AI portal by building content ingestion, indexing, and an API that supplies context to the language model. Earlier in my career, I built tenant-management workflows covering identity and credit checks, digital signing, and integration with MRI Software. Across my roles, I’ve led client discussions and mentored around 20 interns.
I’m particularly interested in how data moves through a system and how thoughtful engineering can turn complex processes into useful products. I enjoy backend architecture, full stack development, automation, and practical applications of AI. Alongside my professional work, I’m building Core, a multi-tenant platform that turns documents and other evidence into structured decision reports with citations and human review.
I’m looking for remote engineering opportunities where I can take ownership, collaborate with a thoughtful team, and contribute across the product lifecycle. I value clear communication, deliberate technical choices, and building software that solves real problems.
