Spiros Romell
@spirosromell
Project engineer driving compliant industrial designs and supplier quality improvements through analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement.
What I'm looking for
I design and engineer industrial systems with a focus on compliance, safety, and build-ready documentation. Most recently, I created 3D layouts and models in SolidWorks for blast and paint booths, and I ran FEA on load-bearing structures to ensure a company standard factor of safety of 4.
I also prepare the drawings and supporting documentation teams need to execute quickly. I develop general arrangement and install drawings for blast booths, underfloor-recovery, abrasive clean-up/recycling, and dust-collection systems, while working to standardize components to trim design lead-times.
In supplier-facing roles, I’ve led cross-functional execution of APQP/PPAP work and maintained quality alignment to client, AIAG, and Department of Defense requirements. I manage and prioritize supplier deliverables, oversee PFMEAs, control plans, SPC analysis, calibration schedules, and metrology reporting, and I mitigate deadline risks with corrective actions.
My quality foundation is grounded in investigations, containment, and process improvement. At KBR/Honeywell, I tracked nonconformances using AS9100 policies, led root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions, and helped drive measurable results like reduced scrap by 32%.
