What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build production backend and systems software where I can own architecture decisions, solve networking and concurrency challenges, and grow through rigorous code review and collaborative engineering.

I've built emrent, a Rust BitTorrent client with DHT peer discovery, peer wire protocol handling, and support for 150+ concurrent peer connections per torrent. I also built a Go REST API with 14 endpoints and custom authentication and CORS middleware, plus NyumbaDirect, a Kenyan rental marketplace with M-Pesa payments and map-based property search.

At Zone01 Kisumu, I take full ownership of projects from scratch, defend technical decisions in peer code review, and provide structured feedback on others' work. I work across Go, Rust, PostgreSQL, Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code, and I enjoy building production-style systems end to end.
