At Zone01 Kisumu, I design and maintain Go backend services in a production Linux environment, using concurrency patterns and performance optimization. I also build React and TypeScript components and work with Redux Toolkit.
In my freelance work, I delivered end-to-end web applications with the MERN stack and PostgreSQL, from schema design through deployment. I migrated a client’s legacy platform to React, reducing rendering overhead and improving maintainability.
I’ve integrated third-party payment and messaging APIs, and implemented JWT authentication and role-based access control. My project work includes a real-time AI interview coaching tool using the Gemini Live API and a chat application built with Go, PostgreSQL, and WebSockets.
I’m interested in extending my work into Flutter, AI-assisted tooling, and BI/analytics. I hold a BSc in Microbiology and Biotechnology from University of Nairobi and completed the ALX Africa Software Engineering Bootcamp.
