Kiran Vilas Dhobale
@kiranvilasdhobale
Ph.D. scholar specializing in molecular plant virology and biotechnology.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated Ph.D. scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, specializing in Infection Biology and Virology. My research focuses on the molecular characterization of begomoviruses affecting mungbean and developing innovative biotechnological interventions for disease management. I have successfully optimized a dsRNA-based RNAi strategy that enhances resistance against these viruses, showcasing my commitment to advancing agricultural biotechnology.
Throughout my academic journey, I have gained extensive research experience, including roles as a research fellow in various interdisciplinary projects. My work has involved investigating bacterial ribosome assembly, plastic-degrading technologies, and mentoring students in experimental design and scientific writing. I have contributed to several publications and presentations, reflecting my ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively.
Currently, I am a DBT-Research Associate at Jawaharlal Nehru University, where I investigate cell-to-cell communication mechanisms in tomato plants. I am passionate about leveraging my skills in molecular biology and bioinformatics to contribute to impactful research in plant biotechnology and environmental sustainability.
