At Cape Breton Community Housing and Association, I support clients with housing applications, tenancy issues, and housing crises. I connect people with community services and financial support, and represent clients with housing authorities and landlords.
As a Homelessness Program Trustee, I supported stable housing in collaboration with Rental Supplement Officers and Community Services. I managed client trust funds, maintained records, and assisted clients in obtaining CPP, OAS, and other benefits.
In my current Casual Supervisor role, I provide day-to-day operational support to staff in a residential and community housing environment. I coordinate staff activities and help address client needs while supporting consistent service delivery.
My experience also includes residential counseling and rehabilitation support, including documenting changes in residents’ behavior and using crisis intervention techniques. I hold degrees in Public Health and Dental Surgery, alongside training in housing support, harm reduction, and client care.
