What I'm looking for

I’m looking to grow as an urban morphology researcher and educator, working with teams that value sustainability and heritage. I want to apply space syntax and VR to deliver research-informed, design-ready insights for resilient urban development.

I’m a Ph.D. researcher in urban morphology with a Ph.D. in Design from IIT Hyderabad and a postdoctoral fellowship at the same institution. I’m driven by innovative design and sustainability, and I’ve been recognized through MHRD and JASSO scholarships, including a postdoctoral scholarship awarded for exceptional performance and early Ph.D. submission. My exchange experience at Osaka University, Japan, broadened my global perspective for interdisciplinary work.

My research explores urban spaces through space syntax analysis and Virtual Reality, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches to understand the structure and behavior of cities. I use tools such as DepthMapX and SpaceSyntaxToolbox, alongside cultural mapping and bibliometric methods, to support digital heritage preservation and heritage impact assessment. I’m also focused on mapping resilience and spatial legibility—connecting morphology with sustainability and design decision-making.

Alongside research, I’ve contributed through teaching and curriculum support. I currently serve as an Assistant Professor [Ad-Hoc], and I’ve previously worked as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Hyderabad, including NPTEL courses on Strategies of Sustainable Design and UN Sustainable Development Goals. I’ve also supported academic evaluation and question-paper development as a university copy examiner and contributed as a jury member on syllabus and thesis review activities.

As a registered Architect (Council of Architecture, Architects Act 1972), I bring real-world design experience to my research. I’ve handled sanction and working drawings for residential and commercial projects, led interior design work, and used advanced 3D modeling and rendering to communicate design concepts clearly. My professional ethos is to blend heritage and modernity to create visually sustainable heritage cities.
