My last role was founding engineer at a healthtech startup — small team, actual clinicians using the product, no one else to blame when something broke. In practice that meant owning the full stack: whatever the product needed, you figured it out.

The problems I tend to enjoy most are the ones that force you to think before you type — scheduling systems, real-time sync, anything where a missed edge case shows up as something a real user actually feels. That's where most of my engineering energy goes.

Outside of work I've been building a side project called SoarUp on my own schedule, mostly because I like having something I can ship end-to-end without committee.

I hold an MS in CS from Indiana University. When I'm not coding, I'm at the gym, gaming, watching whatever anime is currently airing, or reading fiction.
