At Target Corporation, I led supply chain operations across interconnected inventory and fulfillment workflows in a 24/7 distribution center. I managed organizations of up to 140 team members and 8 salaried Operations Managers, with inventory-control responsibility supporting more than $100M in inventory.
I reconciled NextGen WMS data with physical inventory, bills of lading, and receiving records to investigate discrepancies and correct system and operational issues. I also coordinated inbound execution of approximately 30–50 trailers per day, including high-volume periods with 100,000+ cases.
I designed and piloted a centralized workflow for a 100+ person operation, establishing standard work, training, accountability, and performance measures. It delivered a 50%+ productivity improvement, and the concept was adopted across approximately 150 Target distribution centers.
I also led the launch of a new receive-center operation, defining product flow, layout, staffing, equipment requirements, and processing standards; productivity increased from approximately 100 to 120 cases per hour before the model expanded. I partnered with Engineering on a multimillion-dollar Swisslog Miniload automation system and bring a Computer Science background to requirements analysis, testing, and operational systems work.
