Sayantika Mandal
@sayantikamandal
I lead editorial workflows and turn complex research into clear public-facing content.
What I'm looking for
At The Polis Project, I own 25+ multi-stage content projects, from pitch evaluation and commissioning through substantive editing, CMS preparation, metadata, and publication. I develop international reporting, analysis, profiles, and cultural criticism for a global audience.
I've published more than 100 articles across digital, print, magazine, newsletter, and social channels. At the University of San Francisco, I produced 50+ feature and news stories translating academic research, science, policy, and community stories into accessible public communications.
My editorial experience also includes leading Switchback Literary Journal as editor-in-chief, completing final-proof work on seven book manuscripts at University of Georgia Press, and editing breaking news and special-edition pages at Hindustan Times.
Alongside editorial work, I've managed long-term, multi-stakeholder projects as a doctoral researcher and instructor at the University of Georgia. I bring strong editorial judgment, careful stakeholder coordination, and a practical approach to moving work from concept through review and delivery.
