Sarah Medina

I’m a Registered Medical Assistant with 13+ years of experience delivering high-quality patient care across oncology, thoracic surgery, OB/GYN, and multi-specialty outpatient settings. I bring a patient-first approach to intake, clinical support, and education, while consistently maintaining infection control and HIPAA compliance.

In my current role at Northwestern Medicine (Oct 2023–Present) and previously at Rush University Medical Center (Jan 2014–Oct 2023), I perform patient intake, obtain vital signs, review medications, allergies, and medical history, and document encounters accurately in Epic EMR. I administer injections, perform EKGs per provider orders, and support exam rooms and office procedures—always focused on accuracy, safety, and clear communication.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Expected Graduation: 2028). I’m especially interested in remote healthcare, care coordination, and patient-centered services where I can strengthen continuity of care, help patients understand next steps, and contribute to outcomes-driven teamwork.
