Sanjivkumar Desai

I co-founded Stärken Associates, where I develop biogas/CBG, wastewater-treatment, organic-fertilizer, and procurement advisory solutions for investors, plant operators, and entrepreneurs across India. I built the firm’s feasibility, client-acquisition, partnership, and thought-leadership systems from the ground up.

Before Stärken, I managed USD 118 million of procurement for L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering’s USD 354 million HALIBA project in the UAE, overseeing planning, purchasing, expediting, cost, delivery, and client reporting. I also led piping procurement and supported major Oil & Gas bids and project executions across India and the Middle East.

Across Reliance Industries, Sterling Oil in Nigeria, and Gujarat Gas, I led contracts and procurement for drilling, pipelines, field development, utilities, and critical equipment. My work includes managing USD 200 million in contracts and purchase orders, delivering approximately ₹20 million in metering-skid savings, and introducing KPI-linked contract structures.

I bring 30+ years of procurement, contract governance, vendor development, SAP-MM implementation, and techno-financial feasibility experience. I value independent, impartial advice and practical systems that turn technical and commercial opportunities into compliant, market-ready outcomes.
