What I'm looking for

I’m seeking backend or platform roles in fast-paced product teams where I can build cloud-native microservices, improve developer experience, and drive reliability through CI/CD and automation.

I am a senior Scala software developer with five years' experience building and maintaining scalable microservices and internal developer platforms. At HMRC I supported tenant service teams on the Multi-channel Digital Tax Platform, developing shared tools, libraries and services that operate across over 1,400 microservices and multiple environments.

I take pride in writing clean, maintainable code, improving developer experience, and driving reliability through strong testing and CI/CD practices. I have led technical spikes (Scala 3 migration, secret detection tooling), built lifecycle and repository tooling, and mentored junior engineers while working across cloud-native stacks (AWS, Docker, Jenkins) in agile, cross-functional teams.
