What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a molecular diagnostics or biomedical research role where I can apply nucleic-acid based methods, PCR/genotyping, and immunology assays to support infectious disease detection, while working with strong SOPs, quality control, and collaborative teams.

I’m a biotechnology professional with hands-on experience in molecular biology, immunology, and clinical research, built through my Master’s in Biotechnology and GATE-BT 2024 and GATE BT & XL 2026 qualifications. As a Research Experience Project Consultant at ICMR- Centre for Research, Management and Control of Haemoglobinopathies, I supported an ICMR-CRMCH & industry collaborative Sickle Cell Disease project, combining haematological and biochemical testing (CBC, HPLC, LFT, KFT) with molecular genetic testing.

I performed DNA extraction and ARMS-PCR genotyping to identify disease-influencing mutations, and I screened and validated haemoglobin variants (HbS, HbD, HbE, HPFH, IVS mutations) using molecular diagnostic approaches. I also applied flow cytometry for lymphocyte subset analysis and ran ELISA-based assays, while coordinating clinical history collection and participant support during blood sample collection with strict SOP adherence and quality control.

In my Master’s thesis, I focused on “Screening and Characterization of Plant Growth Promoting Zinc Solubilizing Bacteria,” isolating and identifying bacteria from wheat and tomato rhizosphere samples. I used plate and broth assays with Atomic Absorption Spectrometry for quantitative analysis, then characterized plant growth promoting traits like indole acetic acid production, ammonia production, phosphate solubilization, and nitrogen fixation—translating results into bacterial consortium development for enhanced growth promotion.

Contributed to an ICMR-CRMCH and industry collaborative project on Sickle Cell Disease by performing haematological/biochemical analyses and DNA-based genotyping.
