Salman Amazai
@salmanamazai
AMR specialist and molecular biologist with 10+ years’ research experience in diagnostics and vaccine development.
What I'm looking for
I am an antimicrobial resistance (AMR) specialist with a PhD in Molecular Biology and over a decade of postdoctoral and research experience across Pakistan, Canada, and Thailand. My work blends wet-lab expertise and computational approaches to investigate resistance mechanisms, efflux pumps, horizontal gene transfer, and AMR surveillance.
I have designed and led projects using PCR, qPCR, and metagenomic pipelines, and contributed to molecular diagnostics and vaccine development with translational goals. My publications demonstrate consistent peer-reviewed contributions, citation impact, and experience publishing collaborative international research.
I have trained and supervised graduate students, emphasizing reproducibility, biosafety, and clear scientific communication, and I collaborate across clinical microbiology and molecular biology teams. I also apply data validation, model evaluation, and AI-support methods to strengthen scientific discovery.
I seek to apply my expertise in AMR, diagnostics, and translational research to roles that value rigorous lab practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and impact-driven research that advances public health.
