I’m available for remote contract work with flexible working hours and a commitment to defined weekly project volumes.

As a University Tutor and Freelance Swahili Language Specialist, I evaluate and annotate Swahili and English content, producing accurate language datasets for educational and analytical purposes.

I analyze spoken and written communication, including Kenyan and Tanzanian Swahili, Sheng, and Swahili-English code-switching, with attention to contextual meaning and accuracy.

My transcription-related work includes sentence segmentation, speaker distinction, and identifying fillers, false starts, unclear audio, and pronunciation differences. I’m familiar with verbatim and clean-verbatim transcription principles.

I also taught Swahili language and literature as a Senior High School Swahili Teacher, preparing lessons and evaluating students’ linguistic accuracy. I hold a Master’s Degree in Swahili Linguistics from Maseno University.
