Rylee Hooper

Conducts animal nutrition and aquaculture research on glycine and mTOR signaling in juvenile Hybrid Striped Bass. Manages feeding trials and sampling, performs proximate analysis and feed-efficiency calculations, and runs biochemical assays including western blot and UPLC-based amino acid profiling.

Supports nutrition research across swine, poultry, and fish dietary species under Dr. Guoyao Wu. Contributes to ongoing projects involving experimental modification and research execution.

Performs quality control on incoming commodities and outgoing finished feeds using NIR and in-house regulatory procedures. Conducts corn mycotoxin testing and completes daily reconciliation of medicated additives to support feed safety and compliance.

Handled and banded live poultry appropriately for state and county market poultry shows. Applied safe, correct procedures to support event readiness and participant compliance.
