Ryann Perez
@ryannperez
Innovative computational and biological chemist specializing in machine learning.
What I'm looking for
I am a PhD candidate in Chemical Biology at the University of Pennsylvania, where I have maintained a GPA of 3.99. My research focuses on leveraging machine learning to enhance product research, particularly in predicting peptide amyloidogenicity and protein stability. I have developed large language models and classical ML pipelines that have significantly contributed to our understanding of protein interactions and binding affinities.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with a minor in Biochemistry at the University of Delaware, graduating with a GPA of 3.72. My undergraduate research involved synthesizing modified dipeptides to model tau protein states relevant to Alzheimer’s disease, which laid the groundwork for my current research endeavors. I am passionate about using data-driven approaches to drive discovery in the fields of computational and biological chemistry.
