Ronald Banta
@ronaldbanta
Humanities educator and education leader helping at-risk students learn, heal, and succeed.
What I'm looking for
I am a Humanities-focused educator with twenty years of experience in traditional and alternative settings, building strong relationships and creating curriculum that meets the needs of at-risk populations. I bring excellent written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to cultivate collaboration.
For over a decade at Community Prep School, I worked closely with high-risk students academically and personally—creating and delivering engaging curriculum, accommodating individual learning needs, and tracking student progress through assessment and individual learning plans. I also emphasized wellness and social-emotional learning while running interdisciplinary support and remediation.
In leadership roles, I’ve directed educational support programming, onboarded and trained staff, managed teams, and supervised court mandated visitation documentation. I’ve also served as a Director of Education and Operations and as a Humanities Department Head, strengthening onsite learning environments for expelled students (grades 8–12).
More recently, I’ve expanded my impact into client rehabilitation through screenings, intakes, counseling, conflict resolution, and case management as a Campus Coordinator. I’m technically proficient in online teaching tools and bring consulting-minded leadership through curriculum evaluation and grant coordination, including securing an $180,000 grant for school performance improvement.
