At AMS Sensores Portugal, I participated in the Ingressa Programme Internship, working on the development and testing of algorithms for processing and decoding data generated by image sensors.
For my bachelor’s degree project, Drone-Based Fire Detection Using Machine Learning, I developed a drone-based fire detection system using a DJI Tello, Python, OpenCV and a YOLOv8-based algorithm. Experimental tests assessed detection under different lighting, fire-size and distance conditions.
I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering – Telecommunications at the University of Madeira. My training also includes advanced Python programming, machine learning and solar photovoltaic energy.
