What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level role where I can apply AI, computer vision, and OCR to solve real-world recognition problems, collaborate on model fine-tuning/deployment, and build reliable REST-based systems.

I’m a Master’s student in Computer Science at the University of Coimbra, with hands-on experience in AI, computer vision, and OCR systems. In my thesis, I developed an AI-based container code recognition system that combines YOLOv8 object detection, transformer-based OCR models, and VLLMs for accurate, efficient recognition in real-world conditions.

Earlier, as a Summer Intern at Accenture, I modeled 3D objects in Blender and integrated them into the Godot game engine, making sure they worked with Meta Quest VR headsets for an immersive internal VR project.

I also build software end-to-end: I developed front-end components with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS for an internal platform, and I worked on Python-based sensor integration for a high-altitude weather balloon. Across projects, I focus on problem solving, model fine-tuning, and practical implementation using REST API and data analysis with Python and MATLAB.
