Rodrigo Aguilera
@rodrigoaguilera
Writer, programmer, and editor who turns complex ideas into clear digital stories.
What I'm looking for
I’m an Amherst College graduate with a double major in Computer Science and English, combining analysis with storytelling. I’m drawn to work where clear communication and solid technical thinking reinforce each other.
As Founder and head editor of Grupo Editorial Gato Azul, I lead an independent digital and print publisher based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I also have professional experience with editing and copywriting, shaping manuscripts and content with an editor’s eye.
Previously, I coordinated American Spaces programs at Instituto Hondureño de Cultura Interamericana, where I proposed, planned, and executed initiatives across education, entrepreneurship, and culture. I also supported learning environments as an Information Technology Assistant and teacher at Macris School, implementing and troubleshooting technology solutions for academic activities.
At Restless Books, I worked as an Assistant Editor—evaluating, editing, and proofreading manuscripts, mainly in translation—while providing software and hardware support and hiring/managing interns. Along the way at Amherst College, I contributed through roles like Peer Mentor Organizer, Teaching Assistant, and committee leadership, strengthening my ability to collaborate and coach people.
