Robert Gibson
@robertgibson
I optimize complex energy, nuclear, clean-tech, and water-treatment facilities through process and mechanical engineering.
What I'm looking for
I've led process, mechanical, piping, and commissioning work for Northvolt, Microsoft data center projects, Exxon R&D consolidation, and nuclear treatment facilities. My work focuses on making complex facilities code-compliant, operable, and efficient.
At Northvolt ETT, I led 40 cross-disciplinary engineers supporting gigafactory development, including MEP activities, commissioning, clean and dry rooms, process utilities, and plant layout. At Winthrop Technologies, I managed MEP installation for site water-treatment packages on Microsoft Data Center projects.
At CH2M Plateau Remediation Company, I oversaw five groundwater-treatment facilities and improved throughput by 140% through process upgrades. I served as design authority, led commissioning and R&D, managed pressure-equipment compliance, and worked directly with DOE officials on treatment strategies.
I've also developed wastewater-treatment, paste-backfill, waste-recovery, evaporation, pumping, and fluidized-bed reactor systems. I bring more than 20 years of experience applying ASME, API, ISO, EN, PED, and nuclear quality requirements to projects across clean tech, mining, oil and gas, and energy.
