Rishabh Dutt
@rishabhdutt
Undergraduate machine learning researcher and data analyst building high-impact models from data to insight.
What I'm looking for
I’m an undergraduate Machine Learning Research Assistant in Honors College, focused on turning complex biological and data signals into reliable, explainable model outputs. I benchmark DNABERT and HyenaDNA on Rutgers’ Amarel HPC cluster, generate DNA sequences for the lambda phage J protein region, and prepare transformer-ready genomic inputs through curated tokenization.
I also bring strong applied analytics experience from my role as a Data Analyst at Summit Revere Capital. I build Excel models for revenue, cost structure, and valuation metrics to support M&A due diligence, and I use Python scripts to source, filter, and screen 100+ firms against investment criteria.
My project work reinforces how I think end-to-end about modeling and impact: I benchmark GAT vs. GCN for molecular toxicity prediction, run OLS regression to quantify walkability’s relationship to CVD after confounder controls, and build an automated DCF model that exports to Excel. Through Rutgers Consulting Group, I co-author research on M&A and IPO trends by synthesizing 20+ sources into data-backed visuals.

Machine Learning Research Assistant
Rutgers University
Feb 2026 - Present (3 months)
Benchmarked DNABERT and HyenaDNA on Rutgers Amarel HPC to generate ~3,400 bp lambda phage J protein DNA sequences using PyTorch and SLURM. Curated GenBank genomic data, tokenized inputs for transformer models, and analyzed outputs via nucleotide frequency plots and sequence alignment heatmaps.
Data Analyst
Summit Revere Capital
Nov 2025 - Feb 2026 (3 months)
Built Excel valuation and revenue/cost models to support due diligence for a consumer consulting acquisition target with $3m EBITDA. Wrote Python data-sourcing scripts to screen 100+ firms and synthesized financial statements with industry benchmarks to support investor valuation targets.
