I’m a UX and HCI researcher with a Ph.D. in Informatics who leads end-to-end mixed-methods research for zero-to-one products, translating frontier AI capabilities into trustworthy, human-centered systems.
At the U.S. Census Bureau, I built a Responsible AI assessment and compliance toolkit adopted across five federal teams, and I helped ship one of the first U.S. government-backed Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers bridging open federal data with frontier LLMs. I also shaped agency AI-governance decisions by authoring technical reports and policy recommendations that translated HCI research into user-aligned system requirements.
Previously at UC Irvine, I produced 4 peer-reviewed publications at top venues (including a Best Paper), designing and evaluating participatory methods for Human-AI interaction while securing and managing over $250K in research funding. I’ve also shipped product recommendations through contextual inquiry and participatory design at Google and improved UX outcomes across healthcare and enterprise teams through mixed-methods research, clear storytelling, and repeatable research operations.
