What I'm looking for

I’m looking for backend-focused product work where I can design secure REST APIs, build real-time features, and integrate payments. I want to ship production systems using Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployments, with room to grow in scalable architectures.

I’m a backend-focused software engineer building production web platforms with Java and Spring Boot, pairing clean REST API design with security-aware authentication patterns. I’m especially strong in JWT and RBAC, real-time features with WebSockets, and performance work across PostgreSQL indexing, query optimization, and Redis caching.

In my work as an Independent / Contract Software Engineer, I design and deliver multi-user backend workflows for authentication, orders, payments, and notifications—integrating M-Pesa and payment workflows with reconciliation-oriented data models. I also bring a practical civil engineering mindset to data-rich, operational and infrastructure-oriented products, and I enjoy shipping using Docker, CI/CD, and cloud deployment workflows.
