What I'm looking for
At McCain Foods, I lead sensory and consumer research for product innovation, including flavor launches and reformulations. I design CLTs, HUTs, questionnaires, and screeners that translate consumer behavior into product decisions.
I partner with R&D, Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Plant Operations to position sensory science as a driver of innovation rather than only a quality-control function. I also manage external research vendors and support sensory data-collection and R&D analytics platforms to keep studies on schedule.
My research background spans postdoctoral work at the University of Ottawa and Taipei Medical University, where I developed electrophysiology protocols, investigated the gut-brain axis, and contributed to peer-reviewed research. During my PhD research at Academia Sinica, I studied astrocytes and synaptic glutamate trafficking in neuronal networks.
I bring rigorous quantitative research, survey design, data analysis, and cross-functional project management to complex consumer and scientific questions.
