What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an entry-level role where I can apply GIS/RS and species distribution modeling to natural resource management and wildlife corridor planning, with a field-oriented conservation approach.

I’m Rashee Barhai, passionate about ecology and conservation, with a strong academic foundation in forestry and environmental science. My work centers on natural resource management and wildlife conservation through geospatial analysis and ecological modeling.

In my current dissertation, I’m mapping Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) corridors of Uttarakhand using remote sensing (RS) and GIS, integrating bioclimatic, topographic, and land use datasets to support habitat suitability and corridor identification. I’ve also gained field and lab experience through soil instrumentation work at Forest Research Institute (FRI) and an attachment with the Uttarakhand Forest Department, strengthening my ability to connect analysis with conservation planning.
