What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can lead field surveys and ecological data analysis that link biodiversity and ethnobotany to climate resilience, vulnerability assessment, and sustainable development. I want to support policy-oriented, evidence-based decisions.

I’m a Master of Science in Botany specializing in plant taxonomy, with field research experience in the Indian Himalayan Region through the G.B. Pant National Institute of Himalayan Environment. My work focuses on ecological and socio-economic research across diverse locations, connecting plant community structure to local livelihoods and cultural drivers.

I operate at the interface of climate change, biodiversity conservation, vulnerability assessment, and sustainable development. I contribute to policy-oriented research that supports evidence-based decision-making, using an interdisciplinary approach spanning plant taxonomy, pharmacognosy, ecosystem services, and ecosystem management.

As a Field Assistant (03/11/2023 – Current), I support field survey and data collection using qualitative and quantitative methods. I’ve worked on invasive species management, biodiversity conservation, socio-economic data analysis, need-based policy analysis, and basic remote sensing & GIS, while building practical data handling and visualization capabilities.

In my ongoing project on a working framework for climate-resilient villages and integrated sustainable rural development, I conduct vegetation survey and impact analysis, field visits with socioeconomic data collection, and socioeconomic and vulnerability assessment. I also maintain a strong research and methods foundation through certifications in basic research methodology and geospatial/environmental monitoring (including Google Earth Engine), and I’m currently submitting research on invasion and habitat suitability for an invasive plant species.
