I’m a Lead Backend Engineer with 7+ years of experience building products from scratch alongside founders at three startups. I enjoy taking a product from an idea to launch, and then owning the systems as they grow.
At Openigloo, I architect and solely manage the backend and infrastructure for the NYC tenant reviews platform, NYC OpenData building reports and the leasing platform. I led the launch of the leasing platform with an internal CRM and an AI chatbot, and led a 2-person team building an ETL pipeline for property listings. As the platform grew from 1,000+ to 100,000+ users, I improved API performance with Redis caching, query optimization and async queues. I also consolidated multiple microservices into a unified monolith on my own in under two months using Claude, cutting infrastructure costs by 50%.
At Fancraze, I built core parts of the Matchday Challenges fantasy game, now one of the company’s main revenue sources, and led development of the FC5 and SETS fantasy games. At SurveySparrow, I built a Stripe billing service that boosted sales by 20%, and a generic import system used across the platform. I started my career at Cognizant building ETL systems with Python and Apache Airflow.
I’m especially interested in AI-assisted coding. I set up Openigloo’s AI-assisted codebase with Claude Code, with rules that keep generated code consistent and easy for the team to maintain. I’ve worked across B2B SaaS (SurveySparrow), fantasy sports (Fancraze) and real estate tech (Openigloo).
I’m looking for a senior or lead backend role at a remote-friendly startup where I can work closely with founders and own systems end to end. My core stack is Python, Node.js/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and AWS.
