What I'm looking for

I seek translation/interpretation roles that challenge my subject-matter expertise, offer collaborative teams, and allow impact on multilingual projects.

I am an experienced freelance Arabic–English translator, interpreter and project manager with a MA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Salford and a BA in English Literature. Since 2005 I have delivered translations and interpretation for UK and US agencies, government clients, NGOs and private clients across fields including law, medicine, military, business, education, religion, computing and petrochemicals.

I have practiced consecutive and simultaneous interpreting in social service and court settings in the UK, subtitling for broadcast-quality audiovisual material, lectured on Cross Cultural Communication and Critical Thinking at Sohar University, and provided copywriting and web content services. I am proficient with CAT tools (Trados, WordFast) and hold an A+ PC maintenance certificate; references and certificates are available on request.
