Quella Seki
@quellaseki
I translate complex life-science research into rigorous, accessible editorial narratives.
What I'm looking for
I'm a life sciences PhD candidate at Zhejiang University investigating how Fanconi anemia DNA-repair defects shape neural fate decisions, genome instability, and neuron-glia homeostasis. My work integrates bulk RNA-seq, imaging, mitochondrial assays, and DNA damage response readouts into manuscript-level mechanistic models.
As an Intern Editor at Global Science Magazine, I screened science news, checked information, prepared editorial notes, and supported structural editing and scientific proofreading for research-news content. I evaluate work through novelty, context, implications, mechanistic logic, and evidence chains.
I also produce and host a Chinese-language podcast with 100+ long-form episodes, translating science and intellectual topics into audience-facing narratives. Through Sci2U science communication training, I have presented complex ideas on AI and human intelligence to industry experts and public audiences.
