What I'm looking for

I'm looking for a fully remote role where I can own architecture, PHP/Vue development, CI/CD, and infrastructure while helping distributed teams work clearly through task decomposition, code review, and documentation.

At Maxidom and Itema22, I led development for a high-traffic DIY e-commerce platform, refactoring a monolith into API services for cart, wishlist, catalogue, loyalty, and comparison features.

I build PHP and Vue.js products end to end: architecture, REST/SOAP APIs, integrations, SQL optimisation, Docker environments, GitLab CI/CD, deployment, monitoring, and documentation. I also engineered an Outbox-based order queue, migrated catalogue interfaces from jQuery to reusable Vue components, and reduced redundant page-load requests with a localStorage caching library.

I've worked in web development since 2004, growing from webmaster to senior developer and tech lead across education and e-commerce organisations. My work includes Moodle customisation, admissions and dormitory booking systems, server administration, and CI automation on Linux and FreeBSD.

I enjoy decomposing complex work for distributed teams, mentoring developers, conducting technical interviews, and making knowledge durable through code review, runbooks, and architecture documentation. TDD, unit tests, and integration tests have been my primary development approach for over 10 years.
