Priya Patel

I am a dedicated Public Health professional with a Master of Public Health and a strong focus on maternal and child health, nutrition, and literacy. Currently, I am preparing to begin a doctoral program in Reading and Literacy, where I aim to specialize in narrative medicine and medical literacy. My training in various health disciplines, including veterinary nutrition and emergency medicine, has equipped me with a diverse skill set that I apply in my work.

Throughout my career, I have developed and implemented educational programs and workshops on nutrition, particularly in maternal and child health. My experience includes working with the Georgia DPH District 10 WIC Program, where I educated families on breastfeeding and maternal nutrition. I have also engaged in community outreach, counseling patients facing domestic violence, human trafficking, and homelessness, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive the support they need.

As I look to expand my professional expertise, I am eager to contribute to initiatives that promote health literacy and improve access to nutrition education. My passion for public health drives me to create impactful programs that empower individuals and communities to lead healthier lives.
