At Southern New Hampshire University, I facilitate asynchronous discussions and applied assignments in community health education, connecting public health theory to current issues, policy debates, and community-based health promotion.
At Expecting Health, I led organization-wide communications and a nationwide Newborn Screening Awareness Month campaign. My social media work increased Facebook reach by 353%, and I also produced webinars on healthcare equity and rare diseases.
At Links2Equity, I led an Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias webinar initiative to make information and resources accessible to communities of color. I developed operating procedures, promotional materials, and participant surveys, and worked with a community liaison and faith-based leaders to keep the information culturally relevant.
Earlier, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist, I coordinated clinical research and prepared grant applications and budgets. I hold a Ph.D. and an MS in Health Education and Promotion and am a Certified Health Education Specialist.
