What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can lead IT governance and enterprise architecture in financial institutions—strengthening data quality, compliance, and risk management—while aligning large change programmes to business strategy and delivering board-ready governance outcomes.

I’m a Governance and Enterprise Architecture Specialist with 20+ years in IT and 11 years in strategic governance roles, where I translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into decisions that teams can execute.

At Nedbank, I’ve led governance and quality oversight across Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture, Asset Management, and taxonomy—especially through the Managed Evolution Programme, an investment of more than R20.5 billion. I embed governance into delivery via change control, release management, solution assurance, and ongoing alignment to group business strategy.

I’m known for strengthening audit outcomes and compliance readiness—improving SARB-compliant reporting, elevating data quality, and managing Root Cause Analysis for credit scoring and fraud detection systems. I’ve also implemented data protection processes and tools to support regulatory adherence, and authored governance dashboards and executive reporting that enable informed decision-making.

Beyond delivery, I bring both an architecture lens and an academic research mindset: I’m pursuing a PhD in IT focused on governance frameworks for financial institutions, building on an MBA completed with distinction. I continue to invest in advanced certifications and I actively mentor and train stakeholders and new hires to ensure governance practices stick in real life.
