Plangnan Luka Dumkes

I’m a dedicated and resilient humanitarian assistant with experience in both field- and office-based humanitarian work, plus academic administration. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in History & International Studies and professional certification in Humanitarian Leadership and Project Management, with strong “data collection & analysis” capabilities.

In my work with the International Rescue Committee in Maiduguri, I engaged community focal points to identify humanitarian needs across health and WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene). I collected field data and uploaded reports to support accountability and donor reporting, while also supporting awareness campaigns on COVID-19, Lassa fever, and Ebola; I even assisted in tracking procurement deliveries and coordinating logistics to intervention sites.

Alongside humanitarian fieldwork, I’ve supported people through education and administration as an Assistant Lecturer / Administrative Support and as a Classroom Teacher. I delivered lectures, assessed students, maintained accurate academic records, and supported departmental coordination through scheduling meetings, setting agendas, and managing communications—bringing empathy, teamwork, and adaptability to every environment I serve.
