What I'm looking for

I’m looking for an opportunity where I can apply machine learning to real cybersecurity problems—especially intrusion and email threat detection—while contributing to research, datasets, and practical digital security improvements.

I’m a Mozambican Computer Engineering graduate specializing in Cybersecurity, with a strong interest in artificial intelligence, digital security, and applied research. My experience spans intrusion detection, phishing and spam detection, security dataset development, and machine learning-based analysis, driven by a desire to solve real-world security challenges and strengthen trust in digital environments.

As a Graduate Cybersecurity Researcher at Gujarat Technological University (GTU), I conduct research on machine learning-based intrusion detection and email threat detection, including phishing/spam detection and security dataset development. I’ve evaluated classification models using datasets such as CICIDS2017, applying data preprocessing, feature extraction, performance evaluation, error analysis, and dimensionality reduction with PCA, and I’ve also built projects using NLP and ML for multiclass email threat detection and low-resource language cybersecurity datasets.
