At Afro Languages Centre, I translate, edit, format, subtitle and proofread client work. I have translated over 100,000 words and more than 10,000 Kiswahili proverbs.
I translated and edited the East African Kiswahili Commission journal in 2026, and provide English–Kiswahili simultaneous interpretation at conferences, meetings and training sessions. As a freelance editor and proofreader at Almasi Publishers, I worked on Stretched! Bent but Never Broken by Steve K. Weru.
I also translated Dr. David Kyeu's Master's thesis on Children's Literature from Kiswahili to English and supported Kiswahili instruction for visiting students in the Howard University Study Abroad Kiswahili Program. I am pursuing an MA in Kiswahili Studies at the University of Nairobi and have presented academic work at Kiswahili conferences.
