What I'm looking for

I’m looking to use my Swahili–English translation, linguistic QA, and NLP training data annotation skills for global projects, especially healthcare and investigator-facing content—while collaborating with teams using tools like Jira and CAT platforms.

I’m a Swahili Language Specialist with over five (5) years of professional experience in translation, copy editing, linguistic quality assurance, and AI/NLP language data projects.

As a TELUS International AI Swahili Linguistic Annotator / Language Specialist (2022–present), I translate, review, and evaluate Swahili and English content for AI and NLP training datasets. I focus on patient-facing, investigator-facing, and healthcare-related materials while applying linguistic QA standards.

I bring strong localization and editorial skills from my freelance work as a Swahili Translator & Copy Editor (2019–2021). I adapted English content into culturally accurate Swahili variants for marketing, UI, and help content, using translation memory and QA tools.

Earlier at CloudFactory Kenya (2018–2019), I contributed multilingual language data by labeling, validating, and reviewing text for machine learning projects. Throughout my work, I collaborate with teams and follow annotation guidelines to ensure linguistic accuracy and compliance.
