Paulina Muñoz
@paulinamuoz
Biomedical engineer specializing in biomechanical crash reconstruction and simulation.
What I'm looking for
I am a biomedical engineer with a concentration in biomechanics and hands-on experience in vehicular crash reconstruction. Since graduation, I have worked as a Project Engineer / Crash Engineer conducting site and vehicle inspections, imaging event data recorders, and producing technical reports for use in legal proceedings.
I apply computational methods and mathematical models to simulate collisions and evaluate occupant kinematics, having performed biomechanical analysis in over 30 cases and run finite element simulations during academic research. I have also supported development of a detailed finite element model of the ferret brain for traumatic brain injury reconstruction.
In earlier roles as a case analyst intern, I assisted senior engineers with inspections, prepared inputs for simulation, reviewed medical records, and helped draft reports and presentations. I contributed to a senior design project producing a CAD prototype for automatic ultrasound imaging and presented at the Biomedical Engineering Society Conference.
I bring technical proficiency with HVE, FARO 3D, ScanIP, and MATLAB, training in LS-Dyna and MADYMO, FAA Remote Pilot certification, and trilingual communication skills. I seek to leverage my simulation, reconstruction, and reporting experience to support rigorous biomechanical analysis and collision reconstruction work.
