Diane Castellanos
@dianecastellanos
I build biomedical imaging models and simulations for cardiovascular diagnosis and research.
What I'm looking for
At HeartFlow, I interpret CT imaging data under FDA-regulated processes to generate custom 3D models of patients’ coronary arteries for CAD diagnosis. I also analyzed non-contrast CT scans, segmented whole-heart models, quantified plaque volume over time, and researched machine-learning approaches for coronary artery tree segmentation.
I’ve applied engineering simulation and biomedical research at Brookhaven National Laboratory, UCSF Catalyst Program, and in CABG geometry research, working on wind-pressure simulation, cooling-system cost analysis, computer vision-based spirometry, and coronary bypass models that evaluate postoperative outcomes.
