Craig Goins
@craiggoins
I reconstruct crashes using vehicle data, scene evidence, and precision measurements.
What I'm looking for
I've investigated more than 600 serious and fatal vehicle collisions for the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the Crash Investigation Sampling System.
I analyze Event Data Recorder data, vehicle telemetry, physical evidence, crush damage, occupant kinematics, and injury mechanisms to determine collision sequence and contributing factors. I use Nikon Total Stations, FARO 2D&3D measurement systems, photogrammetry, and structured technical documentation to produce high-precision reconstructions for federal safety research.
As a crash reconstruction consultant, I prepare technical reports and exhibits for litigation, insurance claims, arbitration, and trial proceedings, collaborating with attorneys, insurers, engineers, and forensic professionals to communicate clear, evidence-based conclusions.
