Senior finance and grants professional managing full-cycle donor compliance and partner capacity.
What I'm looking for
I’m a finance and grants management professional with vast experience across the full grant cycle—from proposal budget development and partner due diligence through compliance monitoring, capacity strengthening, and audit readiness. I’ve managed grant portfolios funded by USAID, UNHCR, the World Bank, and ECHO across East Africa and fragile-state contexts.
At Save the Children International, I managed grant making processes across a multi-donor portfolio, serving as the day-to-day liaison with implementing partners on proposal development and submission. I reviewed and provided detailed feedback on partner budgets, oversaw grant record preparation and timely processing of payments and reports, and supported partners to strengthen financial management systems for larger funding readiness. I also led annual budget development cycles, produced Budget vs. Actual (BVA) reports with variance flags, and drove end-to-end grant closure including documentation archiving and audit readiness packages.
Earlier, as a World Bank Financial Management Fiduciary Consultant on Somalia’s Multi-Partner Fund, I provided field-level fiduciary oversight across a high-risk, multi-donor portfolio. I assessed financial management arrangements across implementing entities, delivered on-site FM supervision where Bank staff were inaccessible, and produced findings that fed into Bank FM assessment reports. I tracked resolution of audit management letter items, supporting a sustained reduction in high-risk audit findings across the portfolio.
Before that, I held progressively responsible finance roles supporting donor reporting, internal controls, financial planning and budgeting, and administration and logistics oversight. Throughout my work, I bring financial & accounting rigors with a program s management orientation—translating complex compliance requirements into practical guidance for non-finance stakeholders and partnering closely with teams to implement corrective actions early.
