Parag Panchabhai

At Pruthvi Molachi Foundation, I provide strategic leadership for environmental and rural development programmes. I work on ecological restoration, biodiversity, sustainable agriculture, seed conservation and rural livelihoods.

One focus has been Miyawaki and ecological restoration initiatives, including plantation planning, species selection, site preparation and community participation. I also work on community seed-bank initiatives that conserve traditional crop varieties and promote agroecological practices.

As Project In-charge (Freelancing) with VANVASI VIKAS PRATISHTHAN – VANANCHAL VIGYAN KENDRA, PIMPALNER, I work with villages in Sakri Block, Dhule District, especially those with Community Forest Rights. I support Gram Sabhas and community institutions with participatory village planning, forest management and water conservation.

My earlier work includes environmental education at CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION, community-development projects at SAVITRIBAI PHULE MAHILA EKATMA SAMAJ MANDAL, and agriculture and rural development programmes at MAHATMA PHULE KRUSHI PRATISHTHAN. I’ve also published research on water resources, rural transformation, water pollution and Miyawaki plantations.
