What I'm looking for

I’m looking for roles where I can own SRE engineering end-to-end—automation, resilient infrastructure, and performance/stability improvements—bridging low-level systems with distributed platforms, and contributing through architecture, migrations, and reliable operations.

I’m a Senior Software Developer with a developer’s DNA, specializing in the “Engineering” aspect of Site Reliability. I bring a deep foundation in Kernel and Embedded development, which lets me troubleshoot and scale systems at a granularity that most SREs never touch. I bridge low-level hardware constraints and high-scale distributed systems, treating the OS as something I can optimize from the inside out.

I focus on performance, stability, and automation—building robust-by-design infrastructure whether that means developing drivers for specialized hardware or architecting resilient infrastructure for high-traffic applications. I have 27 years of programming experience and 23 years in systems and network administration, with strong analytical skills for solving complex problems. I can work independently or lead teams of developers.

In my current role as Senior SRE at Paydock Holdings, I build infrastructure using Pulumi/Terraform/Terragrunt/GitOps and automate deployments. I’ve handled complex database migrations, including a major Postgres version update in production, while also maintaining MongoDB and resolving its issues. I’ve brought up new environments and tackled new service requirements involving components like HSM/IPsec.

Earlier, I delivered network lifecycle automation for provider-level 5G control and data processing software (including DPDK support and new 5G protocol support). I also worked on HPC storage and distributed storage, creating filesystem abstraction layers and drivers for NFS/SMB services, plus Node.js tooling for NFS control. Before that, I developed and maintained embedded FreeBSD-based firmware for routers/APs, blending C/C++ with scripting and automation to ship reliable systems.
