Experienced academic editor and proofreader with a passion for education.
What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated academic editor and proofreader with extensive experience in enhancing educational content. My role at Valenture Institute involved conducting quality assurance for English and isiXhosa materials, ensuring they align with both the Cambridge International and South African CAPS curriculum. I collaborated closely with Learning Designers and Subject Matter Experts to improve the clarity and quality of educational resources, while also developing best practices for proofreading and editing.
In addition to my editorial work, I have a strong background in educational program facilitation. At Intsika Community Projects, I co-founded a remedial classes project that positively impacted over 150 students. My experience includes designing course content, translating materials for inclusive learning, and training volunteers to support educational initiatives. I am passionate about fostering academic growth and have successfully guided postgraduate and undergraduate students in their research and writing endeavors.
