What I'm looking for

I am looking for a role that fosters growth, encourages innovation, and values quality in scientific research.

I am a dedicated Natural Scientist with a strong foundation in analytical chemistry, currently enhancing my skills through an online Data Science program at ALX Africa. My educational background includes an Advanced Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Johannesburg, where I achieved a GPA of 69%. My experience in a Pulp and Paper manufacturing research laboratory has equipped me with practical skills in laboratory testing and quality management.

Throughout my career, I have worked as a Laboratory Assistant and an Intern at SAPPI Technology Centre, where I honed my abilities in sample preparation and analysis using various analytical instruments such as ICP-OES, FTIR, and HPLC. I have actively participated in validation experiments and quality control processes, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 standards. My role as a Laboratory Analyst further allowed me to supervise interns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems.

As a Demonstrator at the University of the Witwatersrand, I am committed to coaching and mentoring first-year students in chemistry practicals, emphasizing safety and adherence to protocols. I am passionate about fostering a collaborative learning environment and am eager to apply my analytical skills in a challenging role that promotes innovation and quality in scientific research.
